I am very pleased that London Tigers continues to promote the footballing talents of young Asians through this exciting event. Sport plays an important part in our society and it is good to see so many people involved and working successfully together. My very best wishes to the organisation.

I worked with London Tigers on Project Maja and Project Shapla. We took the football and cricket equipment to build on the excellent work the London Tigers already do. We hope that these gifts and the work we do while we are with London Tigers will continue to help children experience the joy of these sports and give them encouragement for the future. This project and the work London Tigers are doing are examples of Big Society in action and I am sure it will be a fantastic experience for the people.

It is a pleasure to give London Tigers my full support. They have achieved so much in such a short time both in terms of sports development and community links. London Tigers offer an incentive for young people in the BAME community and beyond to be involved in sport and keeping fit but also to develop community links through competition, and demonstrate how sports can be a way of combating disadvantage. This can help bring down all kinds of barriers. I hope that you go from strength to strength and I will back you in any way I can.

London Tigers is an invaluable organisation for many members of the Westminster community. Through its work with a diverse range of young people, London Tigers provides opportunities to get involved in sport, volunteering, homework clubs and training programmes. The high regard in which the London Tigers is held is testament to the hard work of the many volunteers who work together to make the club an enduring success.

I am delighted to see that London Tigers are once again at the forefront of promoting Asian Football. Through events such as the UK Asian Community Cup Football Festival, they are providing opportunities to the under-represented Asian Footballers to play and showcase their talents in a world class stadium.
