Schools Programme
Empowering School Programmes by London Tigers
At London Tigers, we’re committed to making a real impact on the lives of young people. Our School Programmes focus on empowering those who are disengaged, vulnerable, or facing disadvantage. We believe in the potential for change within these communities and work diligently to bring about transformation.

Reaching Communities in Need

Our mission takes us to schools where at least two-thirds (67%) of pupils reside in areas of high deprivation, as per the Income Deprivation Affecting Children Index (IDACI). Additionally, we work closely with schools dedicated to young people with special educational needs. It’s in these areas that we invest our resources, trusting in our model’s capacity to make a tangible difference.

The STEP to Success

The core of our School Programmes is built on the STEP model, which stands for Social, Thinking, Emotional, and Physical capabilities. We believe in the power of sports to create an engaging and inspirational learning environment, fostering these essential life skills. By starting with primary school children, we can intervene earlier and provide long-term support as they transition into secondary school.

Three Decades of Experience

With over 35 years of experience, London Tigers is a seasoned mentor in the realm of education. Our commitment is reflected in our intense sports mentoring programmes within secondary schools. Here, our young participants benefit from the expertise of a highly qualified staff member embedded within the school. This approach allows us to offer personalized 1-to-1 and group interventions through various sports.

Creating Safe Spaces for Growth

Our School Programmes provide young people with a secure environment where they can thrive. We focus on enhancing behaviour, attendance, and attainment, ensuring that each child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
